Performance "On the 'Notes' of John Cage. The Silent Cry" by Simona Benedetti in collaboration with guitarist Adele Foffi.
The performance draws inspiration from one of the greatest composers of the 20th century, John Cage, through the 'notes' of the piece "4.33", in which the artist aims to demonstrate the non-existence of silence.
The performance gives space to the silence of pain that manifests as noise within our inner selves. The need for a cry of freedom bursts forth through the gestures of the body, the sounds, and the noises that emerge from the canvas and the guitar. Everything becomes a symbol of communication and openness to the outside. The silent cry transforms into a silence that screams through life.
