Art & Digital. New Perspectives on Protection & Experimentation

Conference for in-depth discussion on technological innovation for the protection of copyright and the enhancement of cultural heritage.

A meeting curated by Dr. Bertini aimed at exploring topics such as the importance of new technologies in the cultural sector; the relationship between creatives and digital tools, starting from the direct testimonies of the artists featured in the exhibition; the role of blockchain technology in certifying rights and digital works; and the new cultural professions emerging from the intersection of humanistic education and technological skills.

As Federica Bertini, co-curator of the exhibition and organizer of the panel scheduled for Tuesday, October 22, states:

The increasing use of new technologies in the art world has led to the development of new models for the enjoyment and communication of historical and artistic heritage, as well as new languages, styles, and iconographies.

In this unstoppable flow of creative digital experimentation, artists must become increasingly aware of the tools and solutions that the market provides to protect their authorship – sometimes even contested by the very image generation software – over their works of art and their digital 'double'.

Many of the talks will be given by some of the professors of the MANT master’s program (‘New Technologies for Communication, Cultural Management, and the Teaching of Art History: For an Immersive and Multisensory Experience of Cultural Heritage’) at the University of Rome 'Tor Vergata.'"
