HMC (acronym for Human Machine Contact) is an action painting performance for remote-controlled machine and human performer. The performance was born from the encounter between the pictorial research of the visual artist Francesco Straface and the research on movement of the digital artist and director Cinzia Pietribiasi. By exploring the relationship between humans and machines, HMC goes beyond dance and beyond painting. It is a visual poem that investigates the thin line that separates man from machine, in an era where artificial intelligence challenges our concepts of existence and collaboration.
