Antonio Lavorgna Open Studio

Educational meeting focused on new art forms and the influence of artificial intelligence in contemporary artistic expressions.

The exhibition, curated by Antonio Lavorgna and Andrea Moraes, aims to compare classical art with the new artistic forms generated by artificial intelligence. The aim is to explore the influence of AI on the contemporary art scene, opening a debate between artists on concepts and philosophies that are useful to create an authentic connection between different styles, techniques and means of expression, in the service of imagination.

The exhibition will present material works made with mixed media, surrealism, brutalism, figurative abstractionism, and wax sculptures, alongside works created with artificial intelligence, projected on tablets.

The selected artists include:

Andrea Moraes (wax sculpture, Brazil)

Antonio Servillo (surrealism, Rome)

Massimo Francalanci (brutalism, Florence)

Chiara Meneguzzi (mixed media, Rome)

Federico La Cerna (abstract and figurative, Rome)

In addition, the evening of 25 October 2024, from 18:30 to 21:00, will be dedicated to a debate on artificial intelligence, with the participation of Simone Rizzo, an engineer specialising in AI, who has in-depth expertise in the field. During the meeting, it will be possible to ask questions to clarify doubts and deepen AI-related topics.

Simone Rizzo is an expert in Artificial Intelligence with a master's degree from the University of Pisa. He has solid experience as an AI engineer in the field of computer vision for autonomous vehicles and focuses on model explainability and privacy in machine learning. He is the founder and CEO of Inferentia, a consulting firm specializing in Artificial Intelligence, offering custom AI services for various industries. He is also active in scientific research where he recently published a paper regarding a new attack on machine learning models called ALOA at the international NSS conference. He shares his passion as a science popularizer on TikTok, simplifying complex concepts and spreading awareness about AI to make this discipline accessible to everyone in the modern world.
