AROUND THE LINE. The focus of Roberta Pugno's latest research is the line in its various modes of expression. A human mental creation (it does not exist in nature), it is closely tied to time and the construction of identity. It is pure thought that can be made perceptible, by hand, in painting, writing, or music... Sometimes, as in Rothko, the line is not visible but, connected to internal sound and sensitivity, it is expressed in indistinct forms or layers of color. On these themes, the artist-philosopher will engage in dialogue with Cinzia Folcatelli and the audience, discussing how she modulates "the line" between color, matter, and unconscious intelligence.
