During the open studio, Liam Santoleri will meet the visitors to discuss the direction of his artistic research into erratic boulders—or "sleeping stones"—and share the creative experience of walking to reach these landscape features, which now lie motionless after being carried down-valley by an ancient, melted glacier. Will be display some boxes containing three-dimensional works—*exuviae*—a type of cast wrapping the boulder and now preserve its shape. These are fragile forms, suspended in time, catching a specific moment in the long existence of these rock fragments. In addition to the display cases, visitors can view graphic works created with ink, pencil, and acrylic. Attendees will receive a signed print from the "Stones #" series as a gift. The open studio will take place outdoors, right in front of the artist's tiny studio at Via Castelfidardo 50 in Rome. This brief gathering offers a chance to meet the artist in person, hear the story behind his artistic research, and learn about the techniques he employs, how he navigates the landscape, and what he brings back to the studio after each walk. Guests can chat with the artist while enjoying a glass of wine (or fruit juice). An experience inspired by the utmost simplicity and essentiality
