The latest outcome of this joint research takes shape in the project La morte e la Fanciulla (Death and the Maiden) conceived for the spaces of Fondazione VOLUME!, which substantiates the work and becomes an integral part of it. The space is renewed by an all-encompassing whiteness that envelops the walls, ceiling, and floor. A rarefied space, radically opposed to Lange's 2014 project, when, with a powerful and expansive pictorial action, playing on the contrasts and stratifications of red and black, blue and yellow, he transformed the entire space into a mental cave exploring the tensions between emptiness and chaos. Now, that chromatic force surrenders to the essentiality of black and white, dominated by light and graphic design.
