A visit to the VOLUME! Foundation offers a journey of discovery through a space that is unique within Rome’s contemporary art scene, exploring its history, its transformations, and the behind-the-scenes stories that have shaped nearly thirty years of its activities.
Even in the absence of a temporary exhibition, visitors can explore the Foundation’s spaces and learn about its identity, beginning with the unique history of the former glassworks in Trastevere, which since 1997 has hosted projects and interventions designed in direct relation to the space itself. This is an opportunity to discover how this place has been transformed over time by the artists who have inhabited and interpreted it, leaving traces, memories, and layers that still define its atmosphere today.
