Le dernier résultat de cette recherche commune prend forme dans le projet La morte e la Fanciulla (La mort et la jeune fille) conçu pour les espaces de la Fondation VOLUME!, qui concrétise l'œuvre et en devient partie intégrante. L'espace est repensé, et se caracterise par une blancheur omniprésente qui recouvre les murs, le plafond et le sol. Un espace raréfié, radicalement opposé au projet de Lange de 2014, où, à travers une action picturale puissante et expansive, jouant sur les contrastes et les stratifications du rouge et du noir, du bleu et du jaune, avait transformé l'ensemble de l'espace en une capsule mentale explorant les tensions entre le vide et le chaos. Aujourd'hui, cette force chromatique s'abandonne à l'essentialité du noir et blanc, dominée par la lumière et le graphisme.
