Giulia Marcellini obtained a degree in Art History and Art Studies from La Sapienza University in Rome and a Master’s degree in the Organisation of Artistic and Cultural Events from the Palazzo Spinelli Institute for Art and Restoration in Florence. She furthered her training with a specialist course in Social Media Marketing, acquiring skills in content management, SEO optimisation, editorial planning and communication strategies. Her expertise ranges from curatorial writing to exhibition design, from communication to institutional and sponsor relations, right through to budget management.
In 2026, she conceived and directed, entirely independently, the exhibition ‘Pratiche di Memoria – La luce che viaggia ancora’ at the medieval Rocca Colonna castle in Castelnuovo di Porto (Rome), overseeing the entire organisational process: from the concept to the realisation, including the selection of artists and works, the budget, logistics, exhibition design, communications (press, social media, graphic design) and relations with sponsors, artists, volunteers and public bodies, right through to organising the press trip and the opening ceremony.
