BIOGRAPHY
Tatiana Balchesini was born in Rome in 1992.
She attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino. In 2016, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Painting from RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts.
She obtained her Master’s degree in Painting with top honors (110/110), presenting a thesis titled “The Dream of Art: A Journey Through Myths, Hybrids, and Chimeras”, comparing the poetics of Hieronymus Bosch with contemporary artist Luigi Ontani.
She studied in the studio of Maestro Luigi Ontani (formerly the historic studio of Canova).
She volunteered with the Kou association during the Roma Art Week, serving as a photographer.
In 2019, she completed an internship at the Valentina Bonomo Gallery in Rome.
She has attended and continues to attend theater courses at "Horti Lamiani Bettivò" in Rome, expanding her knowledge of performative arts.
Her artistic expression spans painting, photography, printmaking, installation, and performance.
ARTISTIC PROCESS
Tatiana Balchesini’s artistic process is rooted in introspective research, often complex and elusive.
Her works, divergent and surreal, float with lightness.
These introspective, surreal, and narrative pieces may appear chaotic at first glance, but once the thread of Ariadne is found, the tangled web begins to unravel.
Through color, the artist captures both the darkness and beauty of the human soul, constantly exploring new paths when her deepest emotions are stirred.
She enjoys listening to Monteverdi’s music, which inspires large canvases such as “The Apotheosis of Love”, where the myth of Eurydice and Orpheus is depicted as a grand map, clearly outlining the stages of their love.
