Chiara Amici (Rome, 1993) is a visual artist, sculptress and art therapist in training. Her poetics focuses on the use of storytelling, both oral and written, and the recovery of old objects. By applying a dreamlike approach, her work investigates family dynamics, collective memory, corporeal memories and the ancestral roots that bind the body to earth. More specifically, she interacts with the selected materials (antique books, tapestries, minerals and recontextualised everyday objects) in a ritual way, which makes her art the result of a "magical thinking" process.
