Arianna de Nicola is an Italian artist who lives and works in Rome. Her research focuses on the processes of transformation of matter, its effects on the human unconscious and possible disorientation. De Nicola explores the concept of limit related to the human desire to overcome it and the uncertainty derived from the possibility of failure. What prevails is an interest in the creative possibilities coming from the binomial limit/matter, it's deconstruction and transformation, which held notions of instability and constant change associated with both the matter and the existence. Moving across several disciplines such as performance, sculpture or sound installations; her practice is characterized by the monochrome and the absence of colour, highlighting a material minimalism.
