TEXTUS VISIBILIA SOLUNT invites us to slow down our gaze, to let ourselves be traversed by visual and tactile textures, to perceive what remains invisible in the excess of contemporary images. It is an invitation to feel more than to see, to rediscover in the fabric—of memory, of the body, of the image—a subtle vibration of life.
In an age where images are everywhere and vision is continuous, this exhibition invites us not to see everything, but to feel more. To be touched by what escapes.
INVISIBILIA brings together a series of digital photographic works created between 2020 and 2022, printed on fabrics treated with textured techniques, photoengraving, and pictorial interventions, where the image dissolves, layers, becomes traces and vibrations. Balancing analog gesture and digital gaze, photography transforms into a living, imperfect surface, sensitive to time and memory.
The subjects are rarefied landscapes, evanescent human shadows, and forgotten objects. Nothing is defined, nothing is fixed: each image is a transition, a subtle boundary between presence and absence, between real and perceived. The figures emerge as apparitions, as residues of an experience, shreds of a suspended narrative. Working on fabric, a soft and organic material, the images are given a physical fragility, a tactile and profound sense of impermanence. A crossing: an emotional and visual psycho-geography made of absences, silences, and fading dreams. The works interact with the viewer in a slow, almost suspended time, opening up interior spaces that question memory, recollection, and vision.
