Fabio Santori
Where everything seems finished and unusable for society, my sculptures come to life. A new dimension where we can discover and rediscover our primordial expressive codes.

The natural materials used by Fabio Santori take us on a journey through history, culture, and art. The artist was born in Rome in 1976 and immediately developed an interest in drawing and the arts in general. This predilection culminated in the artist earning a diploma in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Initially, Fabio Santori favored painting, but later turned to a study of materials, linked to sculpture. In this sense, Fabio Santori's artistic life matured and found its true dimension. The ancestral and primordial reference that the sculptor seeks to imbue his works with our collective cultural heritage, conveying new messages. The sculptor's research begins with the material, a recycled material, primarily wood, but also includes other second-hand elements, such as plywood boards or discarded rags.

The processing of found objects not only points to human neglect and waste, but also, and above all, mediates the social theme of fragmentation. Dominated by his sensations, the artistic process reveals itself as a moment of dialogue with his inner self and introspection, rediscovering a depth in the work and an inner depth that leads the artist to see a new facet of himself. To complete this phase, the sculptor returns to color; painting enhances the materiality of the sculpture, lending it a sense of new intimacy. Fabio Santori's artistic career began in 2011, and since then he has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions. In the last year, the artist has been involved in an exhibition at the Pinacoteca Contemporanea of Banca Intesa San Paolo in Siena, after which one of his wall works was purchased to join the permanent collection. In collaboration with the Bargello Museum, the Velvet Golden Cloths that belonged to Pope Nicholas V will be on display at the Museum of Sacred Art of San Giovanni degli Agostiniani in Fivizzano. The Uffizi commission specifically requested that he be present at this event with a solo exhibition titled Second Life. This will be followed by his solo exhibition "La materia ritrovata" at Gallery La Gourmet, Chef Filippo Coliandro's Academy of Taste, an exhibition inaugurated under the aegis of Gallery Director Elisabetta Marcianò and curated by Giammarco Puntelli. Concurrent with this exhibition, a solo exhibition opens at the Archaeological Hypogeum of Reggio Calabria, conceived, created, and personally curated by the site's director Elisabetta Marcianò. He subsequently participated in a group exhibition at the Giampaolo Talani Museum. Finally, another significant achievement was the solo exhibition "Blu Santori," presented in conjunction with the G7 Economic Summit at the Altafiumara Resort. A sculpture by the master, "Armonica Cubica," is also on display at the Altafiumara Artists' Park.
