Alba Bertagnolli Hemingway @ Rome Art Week
Alba Bertagnolli Hemingway
An artist from Merano based in Rome, she uses art as a path to self-discovery. Emotions drive her work, turning fears and challenges into creative freedom and a deep connection with her true nature.
Data and contact details

Alba, born in Merano, lives and works in Rome. Forever enamored of art and beauty, her life has since always revolved around the search to become, forever more, who she is. Inevitable on this path is an encounter with our own fears, demons and darkness, but also realization that even the dark leads us to its center–to its luminous source. Art, then, but also the whole of life, is for Alba the means towards self-understanding, to enter into intimate contact with the Self–a precious occasion to become one with color, symbol, form–with, in other words, the Totality. This process emerges out of a Listening, a presence to that which Alba is in the moment, at a psychological, emotional and physical level. Emotion is above all the great catalyst of her work and, if her present emotions are lived as a straight-jacket, Alba finds the way to “enlarge” her experience and perspective of her difficulties, to restore herself to the sovereignty of her ultimate nature–which is freedom.
