Titti Faranda was born in Capo d'Orlando (ME). In 1989 she moved to Rome, which became her adopted city. A lawyer by profession, from a young age she cultivated a passion for contemporary art, maturing over time the desire to cross the threshold that divides fruition from creation. After several years of experimentation and research, conducted discreetly and known only to a small group of friends, since 2022 Titti Faranda comes out of the closet with her first exhibition open to the public.
Her creative project imagines art in continuous transformation. Eco-sustainable art that has as its expressive substance the recycling_reuse of industrial materials. Plastics, fabrics, sheet metal with a new life to be shaped. Paintings, sculptures, installations are born that open the gaze to the curiosity of a regenerated world.
Titti Faranda's artistic language is based on the principle of the Dadaist Assisted ready-made, which consists of the combination of several objects that, losing their everyday use value, are transformed into a work of art expressing a concept. Most of the elements that make up his ready-mades are old objects rescued from disposal, which regain a new life and new meaning through the artistic process of 'recycling'.
