Ludovica Lugli
Through symbolic forms, Ludovica does not merely create images but evokes states of empathy, opening a silent dialogue between the artwork and others, where the viewer can both recognize and reflect upon themselves.

Visual artist of suspended worlds

Ludovica Lugli is a Rome-based artist who moves through techniques as one moves through dreams:

without borders, without defnitions. Her work is a tapestry of personal history, cultural memory, and symbolic imagination—fed by infuences ranging from cinema to photography, psychology to pigment, and always fltered through a surrealist lens.

Though her academic background is in Communication Sciences and Psychology, Ludovica trained at the Ornamental Art School San Giacomo and the Roman School of Photography, collecting methods not as , but as tools to build worlds. She resists all defnitions—she is not a painter, a decorator, nor a photographer—because technique, to her, is merely the vessel for vision.

Her practice fows freely: from digital compositions to large-scale wall works, from collage to painting with natural pigments, from ceramics to installation. Her series, such as ANIMALIA and Surrealist Women,

depict hybrid creatures and poetic bodies occupying familiar spaces with an uncanny grace: animals in evening on tennis courts; women whose faces dissolve into feathers, citrus slices, and shadows of color.

At the heart of her work lies a call to listen—to slow down, to feel more deeply, to tune into the invisible.

She cultivates ears in fowerpots as a gesture of artistic resistance to a world increasingly blind and deaf
