My work never stems solely from an aesthetic need, but is constantly fuelled by my interests in philosophy, anthropology and the dynamics of social interaction: I am fascinated by exploring the human being, their collective memory and the way they interact with the world.
I do not limit myself to a single medium but love to experiment with different techniques and materials. My work ranges from the classical tradition of oil painting to the three-dimensional texture of painting-sculpture on plywood, via the layering of collage, carving art on acrylic, right through to the possibilities of digital art printed on aluminium. Floral patterns and a strong penchant for historical and stylistic references often feature in my works: elements from the past that I love to evoke, reinterpret and weave into my contemporary vision.
