Born in Rome in 1974, Anna Checchi discovered drawing and painting in early childhood as a language for expressing her inner world. Flowers, animals and female figures dressed in elegant, colorful garments inhabited her earliest images, foreshadowing the themes that continue to shape her artistic practice.
After completing her secondary education with a focus on science, she graduated in Architecture from Sapienza University of Rome. She also studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where she explored drawing the human figure from life. Over approximately twenty years, she continued to refine her skills through drawing and painting courses, developing a preference for acrylic paints and acrylic modeling paste. Through these materials, she builds relief on the canvas, giving elements of her compositions depth and presence.
Her encounter with Parapsychology and her ongoing meditation practice marked a turning point in her artistic journey. Painting became an experience of inner listening, a way to receive and translate into shapes and colors images she experiences as spiritual channeling.
Feminine Energy, the world of Fairies and a deep connection with Nature lie at the heart of her soul-inspired painting. Her works invite viewers to pause, embrace wonder and rediscover a sense of joy and lightness. For Anna, creating means giving form to the invisible and bringing an intuition of Spirit into the material world.
