Data and contact details
Luigi Battisti - born in Poggio Bustone -RI -pursues an artistic practice that freely traverses painting and sculptural techniques. He engages directly with widely diverse materials, never treating them merely as supports but rather exploring their reactive potential; his work represents a constant effort to reinvent artistic languages, prioritizing a deliberate approach to minimal gestures—gestures originally inherent to those techniques but which he reiterates through equally spare, methodical procedures. His focus on the installation of objects—characterized by a clear interplay between volumes and surfaces—has led him to collaborate with the fields of theater, architecture, and music.
