Stefania Mecucci was born in Viterbo, where she graduated at the “Academy of fine arts ” and specialized in sculpture.
Since the beginning she dedicated herself to the artistic research and took part to various art shows, exhibitions, projects and events in Italy, in Vatican State and in Europe.
Over the years she has also worked on “habitable spaces” and on installations, which evoke places where man can find himself. Several materials were used for this installations, such as
terracotta, tissue , wood, stone, bronze and other metals.
She also graduated in architecture to continue the study of the space without neglecting technique, design and constructive methodologies.
In her last artworks the artist started an introspective analysis of the human aspect connected to the spiritual substance of which people are made. The connection with the past generates in each single human different interior worlds.
The curiosity consists in investigating these precious and unique interior worlds: experimenting with new symbolic materials as resin, gold and plexiglas.
Since 1997 she has lived and worked in Rome.
