Luigi Notarnicola

In his works he alternates digital art with painting, the mouse with the brush, industrial reproduction with the single handmade work. He searches for iconic signs, without nuances, details or artifices from which few elements emerge, all necessary.

Luigi Notarnicola was born in Mottola (Ta) in 1981.

Between 2000 and 2005 he studied in Pescara and graduated in Economics.

From 2007 until 2011 he lived in Rome and followed courses in visual design, typography and photography. After completing his studies at the Academy of Arts and New Technologies in Rome, he collaborates with communication agencies.

Having returned to Puglia, he continued to dedicate himself to visual communication for a few years before abandoning the profession and immersing himself in artistic research. In his works he alternates digital art with painting, the mouse with the brush, industrial reproduction with the single artisanal work.

The images represented materialize in the mind as iconic signs, without nuances, details or artifices and, after a long process of focusing, a few elements emerge, all necessary.
