Born in Rome in 1986, Silvia Scaringella graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara and trained in numerous technical and artistic ateliers, including that of Renato Mambor.
In 2014 he moved and studied at Iwate University in Japan, an experience that influenced his language and thought. He participates in national and international stone symposiums, placing three public works in Palombara Sabina (RM), Morioka (JP) and Seravezza (LU). Main exhibitions: Ichinoseki Cultural Institute and Iwate University, Japan; collateral Manifesta 12, Palermo; Cassa di Risparmio Foundation, Carrara; Plastic Arts Center, Carrara; Forme nel verde San Quirico d’Orcia, Siena, 2021 the latest solo exhibition at the Belmonte Riso Museum, Palermo.
He lives between Rome and Carrara, where he has his studio.
His sculpture starts from anthropological and sociological interests, from the search for correspondences in collective and individual behaviors, of the animal and human world, which become in his works multitudes of related beings, revealed holistic systems, indicators of dynamism and entropy of contemporary era, symbolism of sought-after existential correlation. In 2019 he won the "Leonardo and the Flight" competition, creating a permanent sculpture for the Rome Fiumicino Airports. In 2020 he won the "Loveyes" competition creating a sculpture for the city of Tsingtao in China. In 2021 he placed a sculpture at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Club in Rome and won the tender for the construction of a monumental work for the Fiumara d'Arte Foundation in Sicily. In 2022 he created a permanent installation for the Church of San Domenico, Palermo.
