The House of Architecture, housed in the prestigious and peculiar architectural complex of the Roman Aquarium in the heart of the Esquiline district, headquarters of the Order of Architects of Rome and Province, has in recent years become a place of cultural promotion at all levels. Among the cultural activities offered to the public, free of charge, are exhibitions, mainly on architectural and contemporary art themes, set up in various spaces of the building, book presentations, events and performances.

Roberto Mannino è un artista e docente italo americano che vive e lavora a Roma. Si laurea in Scultura nel 1980 alla Rhode Island School of Design di Providence, RI USA, e successivamente all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. É stato docente di Arte presso la Cornell University AAP a Roma e ad Ithaca, NY, e alla MICA Maryland Institute College for the Arts di Baltimora nel 2008. Attualmente insegna presso la Temple University TUR, la Loyola Chicago JFRC e la Scuola Arti e Mestieri del Comune di Roma. Dopo un decennio di esperienze in Calcografia e nell’ambito della Fiber Art negli anni ’80 e primi ’90, la sua ricerca artistica si concentra sul papermaking contemporaneo e spazia da elaborazioni grafico-pittoriche a rilievi ed installazioni. Streams, installazione permanente site-specific del 2013, è esposta presso la Sala Dante di Palazzo Poli, sede dell’Istituto Centrale per la Grafica. Ha esposto in numerose mostre in Italia e all’estero www.robertomannino.it
