The members of the Association are professionals (Painters, Sculptors, Architects, Professors) who, voluntarily and free of charge, seek to share and explore together with the community the “beauty” and “inner expression” of artistic creation, along with its cultural, historical, and technical values, through various activities with social and recreational purposes. The presence of Art Arvalia ODV in the activities held at the “Ciricillo” Center has enabled the Association to carry out the programs set forth in its Statute and to collaborate with other associations and groups present at the Center. This collaboration has helped to revitalize a place that had been closed for some time, turning it once again into a Social Hub and ultimately bringing benefits to the entire neighborhood. At the “Ciricillo” Center, culture and a love for art have been brought to life, offering a source of inner well-being for both the members and the community. In fact, art is a source of well-being for those who create it and for those who experience it; it is the finest product of the human spirit, like the light of good that pushes back against the darkness of evil in all its forms. “Arvalia”, the ancient name of our territory, was chosen for the 2024/25 Project "The Arvalia Workshops", open to all residents of Municipio XI, with special attention to senior citizens. Older adults need to stay active, both physically and mentally, and the Association offers them the opportunity to take part in cultural and artistic activities to keep their minds engaged. The “Ciricillo” venue has proven to be well-suited for these activities, as it is a Social Hub ideal for hosting both workshops and exhibitions. The 2024/25 program included Courses, Art Workshops, and other activities such as Lectures, Video Screenings, and Guided Tours to some of the most significant locations in the area. Art Arvalia ODV, being made up of artists and teachers, has made itself available—voluntarily and without compensation—to teach various painting, drawing, and sculpture techniques, literary works, and the history of architecture. The goal of these artistic courses and workshops, beyond the cultural aspect, is to stimulate personal abilities through art and possibly discover new talents. The works created in the workshops have been—and will continue to be—displayed annually in a final exhibition at the “Ciricillo” Social Hub. All the exhibitions have been well-received by the public and have enjoyed the support of Municipio XI, which granted official sponsorship. Finally, on June 7, 2025, the Association Art Arvalia ODV was awarded the Arvalia Prize 2025, granted to individuals or entities that have contributed to enhancing the value of the Municipal and City Community.
