LAMELASTUDIO PORTRAITS THE PROTAGONISTS OF ROME ART WEEK.
On the occasion of Rome Art Week, LAMELASTUDIO presents its #RAWPORTRAITS format: candid shots that tell the story behind a face, going beyond aesthetics. No posing, no retouching.
LAMELASTUDIO is an emerging creative project that goes against the conventions of “social media” aesthetics. While AI alters images by removing details and imperfections, LAMELASTUDIO embraces them, offering a contrasting and subversive perspective that restores authenticity and expression to the human face.
LAMELASTUDIO is a multifunctional space: a photography lab, shooting studio, artist gallery, rehearsal room, and venue for private events. It features 300 m2 of exhibition space spread across multiple levels, plus three outdoor areas.
For Rome Art Week, the studio opens its doors - and its lenses - to artists and photography enthusiasts, offering them the opportunity to have a portrait created by Joseph La Mela x LAMELASTUDIO.
The white area of the studio showcases recent LAMELASTUDIO works. The black area hosts the photographic portrait jam session, while the red area features photographs by Luca Pegorer, a LAMELASTUDIO collaborator specializing in fashion advertising.

LAUNCH PARTY
At LAMELASTUDIO, Via del Grano 40, Joseph La Mela welcomes protagonists of the underground cultural scene. From cinema to art, from the streets to the spotlight, LAMELASTUDIO is a free and open space for gathering, with no social barriers.
