Faentine by birth, born in 1993, Manfredi Nicolò Maretti has been making visual aesthetics and taste his life mantra for years. After a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master of Science at the L. Bocconi University in Milan, he returned to where it all began: in the family Publishing House. Here, he pursues some of his most intense passions with determination and creativity: Modern and Contemporary Art, Theater and Food. Editorial director of the eponymous “Manfredi Edizioni” (also in print under the “Maretti Editore” brand), he has distinguished himself for several years in the publishing market for the young and competitive ideas of his management, which leave nothing to chance in terms of quality, style and innovation.
Consolidated by now, in fact, are its collaborations with Italian and foreign foundations, galleries and museums – Museo Maxxi, Museo Macro, Museo Riso, Fondazione VAF-Stiftung, Fondazione Giorgio e Isa de Chirico, Centro de Arte Contemporáneo Wilfredo Lam in Havana, Fondazione Malvina Menegaz, Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, Fondazione Marconi, Fondazione Concetto Pozzati, GNAM, Macro, Mart, Museo Pecci, Galleria d’Arte Moderna di Bologna, Centro Cultural Borges (Buenos Aires)-and present in classic and online channels of national and international distribution, the Publishing House boasts of publications and publishing series for an increasingly enterprising and borderless culture.
Of its own conception is the one of books dedicated to the great names of Italian Theater entitled ArtSipario – read the stage in collaboration with stage photographer Tommaso Le Pera. A unique, courageous project with great success with the public and critics of the sector (the “Premio Ombre della Sera 2019” – Review of the Roman Theater in Volterra and the “Franco Enriquez Award XV^ edition” in Sirolo),
Still in the sphere of cultural dissemination of ideas and knowledge, Manfredi Nicolò takes on pillars of the more or less recent past by conceiving the GRAFIE Series, which collects the testimonies of personalities from cinema (Antonella Lualdi Interlenghi) and history (Margherita Sarfatti); SCRITTI D’ARTISTA, conceived and wanted by Maestro Concetto Pozzati and efFusioni di Gusto, where Contemporary Art and Starred Cuisine meet, enriching the company’s path with innovative ideas and purposes for the reader.
And here we come to the true, great passions of the young Faenza-based publisher: gourmet dishes, unforgettable taste experiences, bon ton, life style, and the art of hospitality. Of “the latest generation,” publications on Michelin Stars in Italy and the world, the Galateo of the new Millennium, the 2023/2024 Salumi and Wine Guides, and GURUs becoming a must-have (BOB NOTO).
Since December 2018, Manfredi Nicolò Maretti has been on the Board of Directors of the Giorgio and Isa de Chirico Foundation in Rome.
