Marilina Succo Open Studio

he shadow is melancholic in itself because it is never too clear, but it reflects the truth, one never turns back to look at it because very often one doesn't like it and appears deformed. Shades metaphorically represents society, made up of a bizarre and disturbing humanity. Marilina Succo's enigmatic sculptures evoke sensations and emotions that normally remain in the shadows, forcing the viewer to look inside themselves. When observing the works you have the sensation of feeling observed, even if in reality, a detail that is far from negligible, none of the faces have real eyes. The gaze of these faces, although absent, is able to pass through people, capturing their interiority through a parallel communication channel, managing to create a connection with their innermost self.
