WOMEN LIB, ROMA 1970-80. BLACK AND WHITE IMAGES. Photograps by Fabio De Angel

Exhibition + Shorts and Documentary Screenings

Between the dust, the smoke and sound of police sirens. Among the slogans proudly chanted by female voices of all ages, sometimes distorted by loudspeakers, during the seventies in Rome there was room for beauty. Youth and beauty, sensuality and enchantment escaped from the prisons of husbands, brothers, fathers, traditions, religions. The world at your fingertips, poetry and art within everyone's reach. Although for a certain moment terrorism tried to shatter dreams and poetry and marked those days in a gloomy rhythm, the game, the irony and the intelligence unfolded in Rome together with the beauty, the youth of women free for the first time." Antonella Greco

For the RAW Art Night 2022, a last public opening of Fabio De Angelis' photographic exhibition, black and white images that are able to evoke still vivid memories of an unresolved past. Between warning and testimony, they open up highly topical reflections on the role of women in movements for the defence of the rights of people, minorities, uniqueness.

During the evening there will be a screening of documentaries and short films that have the female in common, as the subject of narration and as an 'eccentric', experimental point of view.
