Those of Giovanni and Ortro are polar opposite images, they represent two opposite conceptions of how an image is shaped. INNER images, those of Giovanni, which emerge from the depths of the psychic world, which are formed at the same time as they are imprinted on the paper; and external images, those of Ortro, which fix what is outside, OUT, images that mark a reality saturated with signifiers, but devoid of meaning.
