The Neapolitan artist and creative talent (known as Our Lady of the Volcanoes and "Alice Attonita" (The astonished Alice)) has been living and working by choice in the aeolian islands for years. On this occasion she displays a series of paintings on canvas with a huge material impact. They are dominated by extreme contrasts and by the symbols of a South which is strongly ancestral, feminine and visceral.
The South is here shown through material abstraction, colours and the Symbol, which is the strong presence, primordial and contemporary at the same time, of the Volcano and the blue Fish on the run. The representation of a volcanic humanity in a never-ending movement. Sensory paintings where you can clearly and tangibly feel the presence of the Myth and the Mediterranean as an innate attitude.
