What started as an alternative way to bypass traditional display systems, spread ideas and create more cost-effective artworks, has definitely created a category of its own, full of creativity and diversity. Works that complete and acquire meaning page after page, overcoming the immediacy of an artwork in two or three dimensions.
We have chosen to show very different projects to create the widest possible panorama of this kind of works. The exhibition presents the limited edition mini zines collection from Re:Surgo!, which are part of numerous permanent collections such as the British Library and MoMA; Corraini's Unsedicesimo magazine; two fanzines that recover traces of the past: “Manchi solo tu” by Progetto RAMI and “La bussola per il navigante” by Progetto RAMI + Charlotte Perrin; "21x29,7" by the illustrator Cinzia Franceschini, who explores the presence of the body in a limited space during isolation, and lastly, the artist's book "Rue Chapon" by Sonia Giambrone and Antonio Rocca, who is also a leporello of almost 10 meters in extension.
