Absentia is a symbolic installation exploring eating disorders: a table of inner conflicts where food becomes control, rules, and a measure of self-worth. The plate represents the rupture between body and self, and the loss of one’s own image.

  • ABSENTIA

Absentia is a symbolic installation exploring eating disorders, conceived by Serena Stella Petrone for Rome Art Week and hosted at Cozy Place, a cultural association (ETS), located at Via del Carroccio 16, Piazza Bologna, Rome.

Through a symbolic table setting and a composition of evocative elements, the artwork gives form to the fragments of the soul that emerge from the complex relationship with food, the body, and one's own identity.

The installation is accompanied by original music composed by Patrick Paulin, in collaboration with Massimiliano Moschella, contributing to an immersive and evocative atmosphere.

A sensory and emotional experience that invites viewers to pause, listen, and reflect on the complexity of eating disorders and the deep inner wounds they can leave behind.
