Massimo Napoli in Performance

Performance as part of "The Garden" by Michiel Blumenthal and Graziella Reggio, in Massimo Napoli's text the tree becomes an almost anthropomorphized presence and an individual indispensable to the survival of our planet.

CONTEMPORARY STORIES, on the occasion of the exhibition "The Garden," drawings, photographs, and texts by Michiel Blumenthal and Graziella Reggio, presents Massimo Napoli's performance based on his monologue "The Psychology of the Tree" (2010) on Friday, October 23, starting at 5:30 PM, as part of the event organized for RAW 2026. In the text—conceived as a complement to paintings depicting trees—the tree becomes an almost anthropomorphized presence, an individual indispensable to the survival of our planet, reflecting on a different relationship with trees and, by extension, with nature; one that is not predatory and possessive, but one of harmonious alliance.

Massimo Napoli, artist, author, actor, and performer, lives and works in Rome.
