Carne e Materia. Antica Casciara
is a group exhibition held during Rome Art Week, featuring paintings, photographs, sculptures, ceramics, music, and performances by Lorenzo D’Anteo, Alessandro Finocchiaro, Deborah Francesca, Marco Luzi, Lavinia Palma, and Andrea Salvatori.
Opening: October 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM
Il Grande Cocomero hosts a new exhibition project dedicated to art and humanity, titled "Carne e Materia. Antica Casciara."
Close to matter and flesh, as if they were the spirit's only language.
Concreteness and reality are far from being merely concrete or real;
rather, they are the most astonishing magic, and from the pain of reality, we craft objects and set bodies in motion.
If the human variable is merely the element that hinders the smooth operation of an otherwise functional system, then we are close to humanity and its ancient "casciara".
The exhibition—open from Saturday, October 24 to Saturday, October 31, at the Via dei Marsi entrance of Il Grande Cocomero (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM)—brings together works by:
Lorenzo D’Anteo,
Alessandro Finocchiaro,
Deborah Francesca,
Marco Luzi,
Lavinia Palma,
Andrea Salvatori.
