Ribaltamenti Performance Art

A real-time painting performance offering total immersion for both audience and artist. Di Stefano will involve the audience and the canvases in her painting process, creating a continuous interplay of shifting gazes and perspectives.

The performance consists of a live painting session in which the artist creates an abstract work before the audience, revealing their execution technique. The action is accompanied by a musical selection curated by the artist.

This playful, participatory act prompts reflection on how simply rotating the canvas—placing it in a position other than the one originally intended by the artist—allows the abstract work to be viewed from ever-changing perspectives, revealing new forms and marks, and immersing the viewer in a realm that evokes fresh visual and emotional impressions.
