Rome, October 21-30, 2026
For Rome Art Week, the Sacripante Art Gallery presents “RAP,” a collection of works by Chiara Rapaccini, an artist known by the professional name RAP.
The exhibition features paintings, unpublished sketches, and sculptures that create a journey through her ironic, direct, and deeply human imaginative world.
Chiara’s work spans various mediums: painting, illustration, sculpture, and writing. Her figures—often whimsical and imperfect—convey emotions and relationships through an immediate style where lightness and melancholy meet.
The exhibition offers a chance to discover both finished works and previously unexhibited material, providing insight into the artist’s creative process.
A central theme is Eros—understood not merely as attraction and desire, but as an energy that permeates relationships: a realm of impulses, contradictions, tenderness, and disillusionment.
With her characteristic irony, RAP observes the dynamics of love without idealizing them, allowing the vulnerability and humanity of her characters to shine through.
During Rome Art Week, visitors can also discover more of the artist’s work in the Monti district—a neighborhood with which Chiara Rapaccini has a long-standing connection—at *Lol* in Piazza Madonna dei Monti and, on Sunday, October 25, at Chiara Rapaccini’s private studio.
A painter, sculptor, illustrator, and writer, Chiara Rapaccini has created books for both adults and young readers and has collaborated with various publications. She lives and works in Rome, where she teaches illustration at IED. His creative universe moves freely between the visual arts and storytelling, maintaining a perspective that is at once ironic, affectionate, and provocative.
