The scholarship offered by the Hungarian Academy in Rome for Hungarian artists of figurative art since its establishment is considered one of the most prestigious awards in the field of art. In fact, the exhibition of former Academy students has always been one of the most important events planned by the Academy. This year, the exhibition will be part of the series of events scheduled for the opening of the academic year 2017/2018, which in turn coincides with the 90th anniversary of the foundation of the same Academy (1927). The scholarship established by the Academy of Hungary in Rome is the legacy of the famous Roman School. The exhibition will present contemporary artworks by 10 Hungarian artists ranging from painting to installations, video installations and conceptual artwork.
