Vito Gara will present an environmental and sound installation entitled Io perdo colore (2020), which consists of a washing machine in which the artist has inserted some of his clothes, and a plexiglass case mounted on the wall and connected to a closed cycle with the drain of the washing machine. The repeated and continuous washings discolor the garments, making the water more and more colored. I lose color thus becomes an atypical self-portrait that transcends representation to become essence.
