el volador

Personal Exhibition of Jacopo Mandich

JACOPO MANDICHdrawing installationel voladorOpening Exhibition Saturday 29 May 11.00 - 22.00Saturday 29 May the FABER art gallery will host the El volador exhibition by Jacopo Mandich.Mandich's new project starts from the graphic novel el volador (FABER editions), the first work entirely illustrative of the artist who conceals an interesting participatory aspect within it.The central body of the works is mainly composed of drawings, which interact with sculptures and material structures three-dimensional; the exhibition path is conceived as a single installation in which the viewer can literally immerse yourself in the visionary reality created by Mandich.Ink, watercolor, pencil, paper and only to a lesser extent iron and wood: a surprising technical interlude by an author who usually expresses himself mainly in sculpture and who on this occasion seems to prefer the sign to the matter. However, despite the use of a different formal language, the exhibition keeps it from one point of view conceptual continuity consistent with the entire path that the artist has developed in the Forze invisibili project. There will is to investigate fears, desires, dreams to understand the inner thrusts that move human beings. The title el volador is inspired by one of the best known and most controversial concepts expressed by the writer Carlos Castaneda. It is precisely "what flies" to accompany us on the dreamlike journey of the narrative, illustrated through the environment immersive of the exhibition.El volador explores a surreal world, other dimensions, our lesser known part that speaks to us in images and colors making the invisible visible. The rhythm that marks the story is enveloping, almost claustrophobic, but the vortex is interrupted by precise moments of pause to evoke a distant, unconscious and interior conception of time.It is the reality of the dream at the center of Jacopo Mandich's latest research, a reality inherent in each of us and to which the artist is approaches by looking at Jung's studies and his own personal experiences. An introspective universe of symbols and archetypes where the unconscious becomes a revelator of psychological mechanisms that are an integral part of life and that they can reveal the secrets of our soul.

The exhibition will be open in compliance with the health regulations in force.
