The shape of things

A brunch with friends to discover the unexpected

We have opened our Rebel Brains HubLab to other initiatives as well—not only those specifically for neurodivergent people, but also for anyone who proudly feels part of the big family of Rebel Brains. To get the idea, revisit our “Rebel Brains Manifesto”—you’ll find yourself in there too…

Our two friends Anna and Laura have deep experience in organizing workshops aimed at personal wellbeing. For us, they have created a drawing workshop for adults titled: “THE SHAPE OF THINGS (discovering the unexpected).”

My name is Anna Chiocchio. I was born in Rome, just a stone’s throw from St. Peter’s, where I still live. As a child, I dreamed of becoming an artist or an architect; now that I’m grown up, I work as a speech therapist, primarily with children. In my profession, I’ve always left room for creativity—children make this easier, they inspire me. For several years, I’ve also run a space called “Circolo Espanso,” where art and holistic practices meet and blend together. It’s a place for workshops where therapy unfolds through manipulation, drawing, cutting, and self-discovery in a spontaneous and creative way, free from judgment.

I am Laura Fusar Poli, an interior architect and ceramic artist. I am the founder of Collezione Concreta, a studio-workshop that takes ceramics as a starting point for creating dialogue between art, people, and ideas. My vision is to make art accessible to everyone, bringing people closer to different artistic expressions such as ceramics, drawing, and sculpture, regardless of their level of experience.

We first met in a workshop and discovered that our individual paths converged toward a shared goal: personal wellbeing. That’s why we decided to expand our focus to adults. The Rebel Brains Foundation opened its doors to us, and we are pleased to present ourselves with this workshop.
