Photography Exhibition STORIE QUOTIDIANE by Tiziana Fustini

“Storie Quotidiane” presents Tiziana Fustini’s key works: ironic and colorful self-portraits where the author playfully stages herself to explore everyday life and contemporary society with both lightness and depth.

Viaggio Fotografico and OTTO Gallery are pleased to present Storie Quotidiane, the solo exhibition of  Tiziana Fustini, an anthology that brings together her most significant works.
The artist will be present at the opening.

The exhibition:

The photographer from Pisa portrays the world starting from herself: in her projects she becomes both actress and interpreter, staging everyday stories through self-portraiture with irony, color, and lightness.

The exhibition brings together four series that compose Storie Quotidiane, highlighting the variety and strength of her language:

  • Fatti di vita (Facts of Life): ironic and surreal self-portraits about smartworking and the challenges of balancing work and family life, told with humor and critical spirit.
  • Gente per casa (People at Home): a playful game of disguises, where the author interprets imaginary characters who animate the domestic space.
  • Accumulo Strong (Strong Accumulation): an ironic and grotesque reflection on consumerism and the compulsive tendency to accumulate objects and unnecessary goods.
  • Io sono Chimera (I Am Chimera): an intimate and intense work on female gambling addiction, giving shape to fragilities and dependencies too often invisible.

From the project “Gente per casa”

In all her works, Tiziana Fustini chooses to put herself directly on stage, using disguises, staging, and a good dose of self-irony.
Her images invite us to smile, to reflect, and above all to recognize ourselves in those stories which, though born from the author’s personal experience, ultimately belong to all of us.

During the opening event, the fanzine “Sono arrivato io & ci siamo anche noi” will also be presented, created by Tiziana Fustini together with psychologist Gabriella Smorto and curated by Fabio Moscatelli, who will be present at the event.
The work brings together 16 photographs in which the author, true to her language of self-representation, staging, and color, delicately and ironically narrates the changes that the birth of a child brings to a couple’s life.
The images, taken in the homes of the parents involved and accompanied by their words, become mirrors of emotions, memories, and transformations that belong to every mother and father.
