As part of my research on the female figure, exploring various compositions with the life figure over time, I felt the need to attempt to represent the invisible. I am convinced that other "souls," known or unknown, gravitate among us, and that they interact with us even if we cannot see them.
This state of mind has produced, through the model, a set of images that dialogue with each other.
These are what I have called "VISIBLE/INVISIBLE FIGURES." Images of people, models, and even objects that are visible almost as if they were transparent. The work begun in 2024 is continuing through a series of works that I like to call finished sketches. These are works on paper with clay pastels, colored pencils, and black pencil, measuring 100 x 100 cm. In 2025, I also began to change the dimensions on paper until I reached the point of executing pastels measuring 100 x 100 cm. 150 x 65.
In addition to the figures that are not apparently visible, I have begun a series of studies of the model against the light.
All these works will serve as inspiration for transferring them to canvas using oil techniques.
I will also present a large painting in the style of Venetian canvases: Universo Giuditta, from the biblical story of Judith and Holofernes.
