The creation of the painting by the two artists seems  belong to two completely different languages. The art critic Nicolina Bianchi write about Simonetti as follows: ".....his creative work appears  as a sort of fundamental adventure that is defined over time as  experimental poetic amalgam which in his works then forms  essential expressive body with those elements of physical reality constantly united with elements of spiritual reality... .....in his painting "never a point of arrival but always a starting point",..............

As far as Berardicurti is concerned, the art critic Alberto Moioli write thus: ......the skilful play between black and white and colour, which sometimes divides the canvas showing an essential technical skill, highlights the elegance and refinement of the research that is the fruit of a careful study aimed at the deepest and most truthful human expression....the portraits painted by the artist have a great psychological power because they do not try to capture a timeless character from which it emerges, in all its strength expressive, the poetry that we find in every creative gesture, for Barbara Berardicurti "art is truth" and expressing oneself with art means educating on the beauty of life.
