IconoClass

Saturday, October 26 at 18:00, the Strati d'arte Gallery will open the personal exhibition of Mauro Molle: IconoClass, an exhibition that joins the exhibitions dedicated to the contemporary masters carefully chosen by the Gallery.

IconoClass, curated by Romina Guidelli, continues the stories of the series Little Stories by Mauro Molle. These important canvases, born in 2019, are thus introduced into the text of the presentation of the exhibition:  In the era of the permits and prohibitions, of the excesses and zeroes of every cult, of the confusion as background music, In the era of the real and the virtual the artist is divided between individualism and sociality, true and plausible. The field of vision is invaded by objects/subjects recorded in memory and small daily discoveries, archaeology and contemporaneity share the same space and the same time of action: ours. The time of the Contemporary Homo Sapiens.

Five years after the first exhibition of Little Stories, Molle’s painting, refined and punctual in execution, incisive and astute in the choice of subjects, It records a shot of identity characterized by an increasing attention to the themes of an intrusive and invasive present...

Molle brings us inside the "here and now" with the power of color and care for a return of the true that deserve attention and reflection. We are in the moment when everything happens, by will or by coo-cess of Himself, for man and thanks to contemporary man free me from it interpreted in the artist’s works. Each canvas depicts an exact moment: the moment when history strikes. Every symbol painted becomes an emblem of the contingent, fierce and at times atrocious: absolute icon of the true.
