Raul Hernández's art is a sensory and symbolic journey that explores the profound connection between human beings, nature and spirituality. Through his unmistakable style, the Cuban artist manages to blend the organic and the metaphysical, creating compositions in which the human figure blends with the natural world in a continuous process of metamorphosis and rebirth. One of the distinctive features of Hernández's art is the transformation of human beings into entities that transcend their physical form to become an integral part of their surroundings. Bodies merge with roots and branches, limbs stretch out like extensions of a plant world that seems to encompass and, at the same time, generate life. The use of vibrant colours and an almost three-dimensional texture gives his works a material presence that makes the symbiosis between man and nature even more evocative.
