A live audiovisual performance in which the virtual and real worlds blend and nothing is what it seems. With artist Francesco Amorosino creating the visuals and composer Stefano G. Falcone on the music, Realoading is an immersive experience that invites audiences to observe our world in a new way. The performance, presented here for the first time, is accompanied by an exhibition of photographs by Amorosino.
"We live in a virtual age, in which our world is shaped by algorithms. Electronic music is almost always associated with images created entirely by computers," Amorosino explains. "Sometimes they are clearly artificial, while others are intended to seem real, especially with the use of artificial intelligence. In this performance, it is the opposite: what is real confuses us and appears to be virtual."
Among colored grids, atmospheric lighting, and metamorphic objects, the audience is guided on this journey to discern what is real and what is not—or simply to enjoy the shapes and colors while swept along by the mesmerizing and overwhelming electronic rhythm.
