SIGN

"Sign" by Igor Grigoletto is an invitation to a journey through balance and tension, where the essentiality of the glass works comes to life through a mark: no cold distance between the artwork and the viewer, but an emotional return to form and colo

The solo exhibition "Sign" presents Igor Grigoletto's research to the public in Rome for the first time. The fundamental elements of his pictorial language, form and color, are the foundation of artworks created on glass surfaces.

On this material, both resistant and fragile, the artist makes controlled gestures, tracing marks that contrast chromatically with the base: broken, linear, concentric, or hybrid, these marks have always been Grigoletto's signature, representing his emotional side.

Although they do not describe, his works narrate through marks, much like the more conventional form of storytelling, the language. It is no coincidence that the artist has created his own alphabet, which viewers can decipher using a code.

The "Sign" art exhibition invites viewers to follow a path between balance and tension, pauses and rapid rhythms, where formal simplicity does not create a cold distance between the artwork and the viewer but instead, it engages them, bringing them back to the fundamentals of making art.
