Claudio Marinone Open Studio

Contemporary in Via Federico Galeotti. Bringing art to the local shop

Thanks to the collaboration with some businesses in via Federico Galeotti in Rome, which will make spaces available inside them, we will have the first experiment of a "Personal exhibition in a widespread no-gallery".

In an everyday context, art is urbanized, exported to a different area from the normal location of studios, rather than galleries, bringing it back into direct contact with the customers of the "shop under the house".

The paradigm is therefore shifted from the direct relationship with the enthusiast, the collector or the interested in art, towards those who experience art in a less intense way, with the housewife, the passer-by, or the simply curious. We try to make the relationship with contemporary art, often elitist or difficult to understand, more "popular", closer to real life. Therefore, to broaden, but above all to intrigue all those people who hardly enter the places dedicated to art.

The shops that will exhibit will have the RAW 2024 poster displayed at the entrance. In any case, I will take care of preparing the complete list through the event pages.

Finding a painting or sculpture among the merchandise will probably be a curious experience, but I hope it will be interesting for those who want to take advantage of it.
